Description:This is the third variant of this poster. In the first version the orientation is horizontal while the orientation in this version is vertical.The portrait of Timoshenko is different than that in the first variation, but quite similar. No specific reason is given for the three variations although it is well known that Méndez was very picky and may have been refining his design.

Description:A poster speaking of an insult to Mexico in response to a gesture of peace. The text at the bottom indicates 'serving peace is not a crime, it is a patriotic responsibil- ity.'The image shows a leader offering a dove of peace and being refused at the points of bayonets that are 'made in USA.'

It depicts Hitler in a disintegrated state lying among the ruins of the third reich as a bayonet from above picks his left eyeball out. Above all fly the flags of the US, England and Russia with the Russian flag larger than the other two.

Description:A promotional poster for an exhibition of works by theTGP in celebration of the workshop's twentieth anniversary.The image in black shows an engraver working on a block from which a sculpted face rises alive (Vida!) while in the background (orange/brown block) a woman and child is juxtaposed with celebrating calaveras. Of interest is the fact that the calavera segment of this poster is virtually identical to a por- tion of the Méndez linoleum cut created for the cover of the 1949 Calaveras Televisoras.

Description: A fascinating poster illustrating how to survive a bombing attack. The illus- trations shows clearly and pragmatically the relative chances for survival with various degrees of protection. The lithograph is listed as anonymous, but only a few of the artists were capable of this degree of refinement. It looks to be the work of Francisco Dosamantes, Méndez, Chávez Morado or Jesús Escobedo, although by the time this post- er was made Dosamantes, Escobedo and Chávez Morado had officially left the TGP.
