I put together an exhibition of photographs at the Norwich School of Art in c1985. I borrowed albums of early printing from the Norwich and Norfolk Central Library. A selection of images was photographed by David Whitworth under the supervision of Gill Doel. I kept a selection of images on slide for future reference.

A second show was of photographs of local Tradesmen's Cards The albums were subsequently destroyed in the Library Fire of 1994 ("the worst library fire in living memory"). To the best of my knowledge these representations of historical documents are all that is left of a rich (and indeed hilarious) collection of printed ephemera.
