The book measures about 400 x 300 cms and is my last serious purchase from the now deceased Book Shop of Colin Page of Brighton.

As the piles of trash were peeled away from the walls of the Lock Up, a range of books untouched for 20 years emerged, blinking, into the light and this 132 plate volume offered itself to me. Other Wasmuth productions of immaculate standards of printing, paper stock and page design have tempted me over the years - in particular the Wasmuth portfolio of Frank Llloyd Wright drawings (with a plate missing) but this was delightfully and broadly selected with some unusual artefacts. You might think I'm straining the idea of Narrative but see if I care.
