Description: From the Méndez portfolio Un Día de Vida, created as associated works for a movie of the same title. The image depicts our 'hero' now dead and being mourned by two women, presumably his wife and mother as the firing squad leavs the scene. This is the first of two versions of this image created by Méndez. Primary among the differences between the two version is that they are compositionally reversed from one another.
