William Neve Parker (1910 - 1961) is most associated with depictions of the pre-historic flora and fauna and dinosaurs in particular .A collection of his drawings is held by the Natural History Museum in London. It was his vocation to show natural history imagery to a non-spoecialist readership, and in particular in the pages of the Illustrated London News from 1950.

His delicate and tentative drawing in the Tall Green House pre-date his better known work, and despite a slightly offputting preciosity, are impressive realisations of comp

osition, colour and spatial relationships across the double page spread.
