My edition was published by Albert Marriott, London 1930. Nuckel is situated between Masereel's gritty stylised social attack, and Lynd Ward's sweet slinky narratives. Nuckel has an unerring sklill in choosing key frames and making the Point of View really varied and telling in the unfolding off the story. He uses costume and drawing to identify characters with little sense of confusion for the reader.

I have scanned the double pages as it is vital to understand the scheme of the image on the right hand side facing a blank. Except the previous illustration still regsiters a sort of memory presence through the paper.
