EDY-LEGRAND - real name Edouard Warchawky born 1892, died 1970. He was educated at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and at the Academy in Munich. Macao and Cosmage was his youthful pinnacle, and he was never to achieve such directness and energy of colour. Much of his professional life was spent producing large inflated murals for shops and liners. His illustrated edition of Don Quixote for the Heritage Club is worthy of study.
