Lynch went on to write A History of Caricature in 1926 and died two years later. Basically a pugilist with an Oxford undergraduate training, he took to journalism on health grounds. His sole science fiction tale, Menace from the Moon was published in 1924. Only when he found the Geometric Caricatural style and the use of geometric instruments for outline and tone, (e.g. Mario Zayas) could he disguise his feeble drawing skills. Significantly, the caricature of Wyndham Lewis is the most satisfying composition and his pastiche of Lewis' then drawing style is better than most. Many of the other drawings in the book are painfully inept, hands and teapots.
