Much loved cartoonist and illustrator of children's books with a love of ornate but accurate use of language. Such books as And to Think That I Saw it on Mulberry Street ,How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Cat in the Hat , are better known than this excellent series sustained with wit and visual imagination, "Quick Henry, the Flit !" for the insect spray advertising campaign - here from the 1938 campaign
