The Runaway Shuttle Train, Story by Muriel Fuller and Pictures by Dorathea Dana,, 1946.

The story began as The Lost Shuttle Train in 1941.

Each page measures 17 x 24cms.

I have tried hard to find out something about this book and in particular the illustrator Dorathea Dana, who not only illustrates the story with flair and imagination, but finds answers to design problems I have seen nowhere else. In particular she uses graphic language with a confidence and flair.

We ought to know more about her.

Any thoughts?
