Thanks to her extensive family, we have a marvelous account on the Web of this pioneer comic book artist and children's book illustrator (1877-1972) She trained at the Metropolitan School , New York, and by 1901 was illustrating for the top magazines and for L.Frank Baum. She married and after 1913 and moved to a ranch in Montana with her new husband. Only financial problems in the late 1920's brought her back to the profession as a highly successful newspaper cartoonist.
