Thomas Cleland was the first art director of FORTUNE MAGAZINE,
a distinctive and professional talent to head the new and expensive magazine.
After the format had been launched he gave way to Eleanor Tracy. The range
of work above is from The Decorative Work of T.M.Cleland from the key
year of 19029 =- the year of the Great Crash, and the developmental work
on the first issue of the magazine.
